There will be 1 field trip every month.

In addition, this is a PDF and video course about understanding the Individual Transition Plan (ITP) and the Transitioning Process as it pertains to individuals with autism and disabilities and job options.

Professor Joanne Lara , MA, CTC M/S Education Specialist
Joanne Lara, MA. earned her master's in special education from California State University Northridge and her BA in dance from the University of South Florida. She founded the nonprofit organization Autism Movement Therapy and teaches AMT classes in Van Nuys, CA, where she is the Executive Director of Autism Works Now! Joanne is currently a core adjunct professor at National University in Los Angeles and helped to design the Autism Certificate Program. In addition, she produced the PBS documentary Generation A: Portraits of Autism and the Arts and served as technical advisor/autism consultant for Kiefer Sutherland’s FOX TV series Touch. She has two books, Autism Movement Therapy Method: Waking up the Brain and a 2nd book due out June 2017 both with Jessica Kingsley Publishers London, Autism Works Now! Method: Teaching secondary school students pre-employment skills.
